Medisoft are 'reet' proud to announce that two Yorkshire Trusts have chosen mediSIGHT for all ophthalmic subspecialties in 2020 and beyond.

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust will begin implementing the world's most advanced ophthalmology EMR later this year as they seek to reap the many benefits of digital working.

Slightly further afield, George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust have also commited to using mediSIGHT.

November 2019

James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust selects mediSIGHT as their ophthalmic EMR. Having trialled the cataract module during the National Cataract Audit, the Trust has realised many of the benefits of electronic working and capture of structured data. As such they have now ordered the system for all subspecialties in ophthalmology.

October 2019

The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) has published their annual report on Cataract Surgery outcomes which evidence clear improvements in care including a 38% reduction in posterior capsular rupture complications. The collaboration between Medisoft and RCOphth has been key to this audit - see below for more.

First customers succesfully upgrade from Medisoft Ophthalmology to mediSIGHT

Following careful planning and the development of specialist tools, the first 8 customers have upgraded to the flagship product, mediSIGHT.

Customers including Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, The Royal Free London and South Tees Hospitals had all of their historic data transformed and loaded into mediSIGHT, such that patient care has continued without disruption and auditability of past outcomes has been preserved.

MediSIGHT achieves important clinical safety compliance.

The latest version of Medisoft's leading ophthalmology EMR has achieved compliance with DCB0129 - a set of requirements designed to promote and ensure the effective application of clinical risk management by developers of Healthcare IT Systems.

Medisoft’s conformance with these clinical safety standards, which was assessed by a leading independent expert, ensures that customers can have confidence that Medisoft follows best practice in the design, development, testing and implementation of its software.

December 2018

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust chose mediSIGHT for all sub-specialities. Implementation planning is already underway.

One year on, The Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital, Dublin declare successful use of mediSIGHT to enable mobile working, efficient recording of patient outcomes and the running of clinical audits. The hospital have also been able to see a higher volume of patients, benefited from improved clinical decision making and reduced the risk to patients of transcription errors. August 2018

As a result of a growing customer base and rapid increase in employee numbers, Medisoft today moved from the Leeds Innovation Centre to Park Place in central Leeds. This marks a new era for the company as it continues to provide mediSIGHT to healthcare organisations across the UK and Europe.

A new home for Medisoft Limited
