South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust order mediSIGHT as their ophthalmology EMR. One of the leading eye healthcare providers in the UK, Sunderland Eye Infirmary will implement Medisoft's system and integrate it with the Trust's Meditech EPR.
Medisoft completes the migration and merge of two major Essex NHS Trusts
Following the administrative merger of two trusts and a subsequent tender for a single ophthalmology EMR, Medisoft have succesfully completed the merge of distinct systems into a single instance for Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
This project was complicated by the fact that one of the previous systems was Medisoft Ophthalmology, yet Medisoft's experienced technical teams simultaneously migrated this to mediSIGHT before merging with Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust's system.
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust are the latest organisation to migrate to mediSIGHT. This month, long standing customer MFT upgraded to Medisoft's flagship system in order to benefit from the many enhanced features of the new system across their five sites that deliver ophthalmology services. This follows Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's highly succesful migration to mediSIGHT in April 2021.
mediSIGHT has succesfully gone live at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. This major customer, with it's main site at Central Middlesex Hospital, has initially adopted the EMR in their cataract service and plan to introduce the system into other patient pathways over the coming months.
Medisoft welcome two further prestigious Trusts to the mediSIGHT family.
Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust have both separately agreed to implement the UK's leading ophthalmic EMR in their eye care services. Medisoft will start work with their clinical and IT teams to roll out mediSIGHT during 2021 in order to support their paperless agendas and deliver myriad clinical benefits.
University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust have agreed a long term contract to use mediSIGHT in 5 hospitals providing ophthalmic care. The Trust, which is a new organisation following the merger or Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, will use the system in their main subspecialty departments and connect it to imaging systems such as Heidelberg Eye Explorer.
Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust are the latest Trust to successfully migrate to mediSIGHT. Within the Trust, St Paul's Eye Unit provide a world renowned ophthalmic service not only to the community of Liverpool, but to regional, national and international referrals. Long term users of Medisoft Ophthalmology, RLBUHT's upgrade to mediSIGHT has not only released many more beneficial features but has also meant that all historically recorded data has been retained, enabling ongoing research and clinical trials.
Following a recent procurement process, Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust has selected mediSIGHT as it's ophthalmic Electronic Medical Records system. The newly formed Trust (following a merger) runs three major hospitals across Essex and extends the use of Medisoft products to community optometrists for the care of stable and follow up patients.
