The full details of glaucoma operations can be rapidly added to the patient record. Letters to GPs and optometrists can be automatically generated in paper or electronic form at the click of a button. The Glaucoma Module delivers detailed audit of both medical and surgical outcomes and can be used to demonstrate compliance with national guidelines.

Some other features that support efficient clinical decision making are:

  • Surgeon defaults for common procedures
  • Medication defaults for common procedures
  • Import and viewing of visual fFields from common diagnostic devices within the patient record
  • Optic disc height fields
  • Glaucoma summaries chart
  • OCT- Optic disc encounter
  • Customisable risk scoring tools

Medical Retina

The mediSIGHT Medical Retina Module provides a complete electronic medical record for AMD and anti-VEGF care pathways:

  • Specifically designed AMD assessment (prior to anti-VEGF injection), ‘FFA Assessment Encounter’ (for assessment prior to fluorescein angiogram and recording details of fluorescein injection) and PDT screens.
  • FFA assessment and OCT forms record lesion characteristics and interpretation.
  • The consultation encounter for AMD re-treatment protocols allows structured collection of data, which speeds up data entry and clinical decision making.
  • Detailed information about anti-VEGF treatments can be recorded quickly using the ‘operation episode’ in conjunction with a default record of anti-VEGF treatment for each surgeon.
  • The AMD / visual acuity summary chart presents each patient’s re-treatment criteria, visual acuity, Central Retinal Thickness, Central Foveal Thickness, and anti-VEGF treatments over time.

Diabetic Retinopathy

Discover mediSIGHT’s cutting-edge Diabetic Retinopathy Module. Designed to enhance patient care and streamline diagnostic processes.

Activating the Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) Module in mediSIGHT enables several features. The most powerful of these is the Diabetic Retinopathy Grading Form. This allows you to easily carry out the structured grading of a patient’s retina.

Using the form, you can:

  • Automatically calculate a grade based on clinical findings.
  • Record findings and diagnoses in the patient record on completing the grading form.
  • Pull through the patient’s previous grade from their last visit, removing the need to complete the grading from scratch each time.
  • Utilise NHS DES, ETDRS and International grading schemes.
  • Multiple grading schemes can be used in conjunction, saving time completing the form once with multiple grades output.
  • Default grading scheme(s) can be configured for all clinicians.
  • Grading schemes can be changed by an individual clinician ad-hoc when they are using the form, for example if they need to complete a more detailed grading than usual in certain cases.
  • Record “Ungradable” and “Not graded” per eye and per section in case grading is not possible or limited.

Benefits:

  • Creates new DR pathway
  • DR data included in audits
  • DR specific letters
  • Multiple scheme options
  • Assured as CE marked medical device
  • Structured DR grading form in line with NDESP

Strabismus, Paediatrics and Orthoptics

The Strabismus, Paediatrics and Orthoptics Module allows you to manage paediatric and adult strabismus patients and record detailed orthoptic examinations. With the module, you can:

  • Use the mediSIGHT Ocular Motility activity to record detailed cover tests, measurements, head tilt tests, ocular motility entries and ocular motility charts.
  • Configure Ocular Motility defaults to pre-populate the Ocular Motility activity with your common test conditions, speeding up data entry.
  • Utilise structured activities relating to convergence, accommodation and binocular single vision (BSV) tests, including correspondence, prism vergence tests, bifoveal BSV (4Δ prism test), fusion ranges and stereopsis.
  • Record numerous detailed strabismus procedures, utilising surgeon and drug defaults to automatically apply procedure details based on individual surgeon preferences.
  • Annotate orthoptics, ocular movements and post-operative diplopia test diagrams.
  • Output orthoptic-specific measurements onto your letters.

VitreoRetinal

Discover mediSIGHT’s Vireoretinal (VR) Module. Designed to enhance patient care and streamline and enhance vitreoretinal procedures.

Activating the VR module in mediSIGHT enables the VR pathway which allows you to complete operation steps, recording structured data, specific to VR.

Some of the benefits of this module include:

  • Select VR specific indications
  • Add VR specific procedures
  • Allows surgeon defaults for the VR pathway
  • VR specific activities complement the procedures
  • The surgical diagram will automatically update with surgery data
  • Simple to add operative complications
  • VR specific letters

Eye Casualty

The mediSIGHT Eye Casualty Module allows you to configure and refine your activity specifically for emergency department settings. The module includes:

  • The ability to view and filter a patient’s clinical activity recorded in other ophthalmic subspecialities whilst recording casualty data in a dedicated pathway.
  • Audit Suite reporting allowing you to audit clinical activity and outcomes in emergency settings.
  • Configurable bespoke letter templates and casualty-specific letter sentences that clinicians can quickly drop into letters, speeding up letter creation.
  • Access to refine clinical encounters such as assessments and consultations so the activities available meet the needs of the emergency department.
