David Johnston, Chairman
David has a degree in Genetics and worked in the pharmaceutical industry for five years before founding Medisoft with his brother Rob in 1997. David led Medisoft's growth from a standing start to a sustainable profitable business.
As Chairman of Medisoft's board, David provides strategic leadership while remaining involved in the day-to-day operations of the company. His vision for 'mediSIGHT' to be by-far the world's best and most widely-used ophthalmology EMR, helping to improve the care of patients with ocular diseases and abnormalities throughout the world.
Christian Martin, Managing Director
With a degree in Law from Cambridge University and a strong technical background, Christian has overall responsibility for Medisoft's operations and business development. Prior to joining the company in 2011, he was Chief Technology Officer for the NHS National Screening Programmes, and helped to design and launch the NHS Diabetic Screening Programme.
Christian has managed the company through a period of rapid growth, and is overseeing the redevelopment of Medisoft's product suite to ensure that it takes advantage of the best available technologies and meets the needs of a global market.
Robert Johnston, Clinical Director
Rob, co-founder of Medisoft and a full-time consultant ophthalmologist, provides clinical input to the design of Medisoft's software and analytics. A key opinion leader in cataract and medical retina, Rob has led the development of several UK and international standards as well as helping to launch The Royal College of Ophthalmologists' National Ophthalmology Database, one of the world's richest ophthalmic data repositories.
Rob has published numerous peer-reviewed papers on real-world clinical outcomes using data derived through the routine use of Medisoft's software, and frequently presents at international conferences on how clinical data can support research, audit and revalidation.
Andrew Dineen, Lead Technical Architect
Andrew has a first class degree in Computing Mathematics and has decades of experience in the IT industry.
As Lead Technical Architect, Andrew manages the technical design and development of 'mediSIGHT', Medisoft's 'Next Generation' ophthalmology EMR, which was released in Q2 2016. mediSIGHT will gradually replace Medisoft's widely-used 'Medisoft Ophthalmology' product, for which Andrew was also the lead architect and developer.
