IOL POWER CACULATIONS AND BIOMETRY

IOL power calculations can be performed using the Hoffer Q, Holladay 1 and SRK/T formulae.

Depending on the Axial Length of each eye Medisoft Ophthalmology automatically indicates the recommended formula(e) to use as indicated in the UK Royal College of Ophthalmologists' Cataract Surgery Guidelines.

With one mouse click the surgeon can view and compare the results of all the formulae simultaneously and then select the appropriate IOL power.

For each IOL Model the department can specify different 'A' constants for Ultrasound and PCI (Zeiss® IOL Master) biometry.
