GLAUCOMA MODULE
With the glaucoma module, the doctor's clinic screen customises so that the examination options most relevant for glaucoma are readily available. Full details of glaucoma operations can be added. A 'Glaucoma Summary Chart' allows an immediate view of how important parameters have changed over time for each eye (visual fields, IOP, cup/disc ratio, and medical and surgical interventions) and when investigations were performed. There is very detailed audit of glaucoma medical and surgical outcomes.
GLAUCOMA SHARED-CARE
Specific nurse and optometrist glaucoma assessment screens have been created. Community optometrists can link in a secure fashion to the Hospital server. The system has been designed to meet the agenda of moving care of stable glaucoma / ocular hypertension patients to the community optometrist setting whilst maintaining supervision by the Hospital Eye Service (HES). This monitoring by the HES is made possible by Medisoft's 'Virtual glaucoma review' screen.
