AMD Audits

Audit functions allow instant identification of the number of patients and treatments required according to different visual acuity thresholds, 1st /2nd eye restrictions and lesion types. The following audits are included with the Medical Retina module:

Demographic profile of patients having injection surgery

This table breaks down patients having an injection of a particular drug (such as Avastin 1.25mg/0.05ml) according to demographic factors such as Gender or Age. The patients are then broken down for each drug according to Visual Acuity at First Injection, Visual Acuity at most recent follow up, Follow up (weeks), Mean Number of injections per eye, and Indications for surgery.

Details of Lucentis patients

This report will pull through any patient that has had an injection of Lucentis during any given time period. The NHS No, Hospital No, First name, Surname, DOB, Age, Date of first injection, Date of most recent injection, Number of eyes injected, Total injections within a defined time period (split into Right and Left eye), Total injections ever received (split into Right and Left eye), Indication(s) for surgery and Most recent visual acuity measurement taken (in logMAR) for each patient is presented.

Pre-operative versus post-operative distance visual acuity scatter report.

This scatter report plots VA at the time of the first injection (pre-op Visual Acuity) against the most recent Post-op Visual Acuity within a specified time interval.The pre-operative VA is displayed on the Y-axis and the post-operative VA is shown on the X-axis, both of them ranging from 6/3 to NPL.

logMAR visual acuity over time

This audit shows changes in Visual Acuity over time in the form of box plots. The Time after the injection is shown in intervals of six weeks on the X-axis, and Visual Acuity measured in logMAR is shown on the Y-axis. Within each time interval, only the most recent measurement of Visual Acuity is used..

VA changes over time- logMAR

These box-plots measure changes in Visual Acuity over time based on the number of logMAR lines lost or gained after the first injection.

VA changes over time- letter score

This audit is exactly the same as ‘VA changes over time- logMAR’ except that the change in Visual Acuity is measured in letter score.
